  • This incredibly popular aircraft, the 18th trial fighter craft developed as a prototype by Kyushu Aircraft upon the Navy's orders for the purpose of intercepting the enemy's long-range bombers, has been transformed into a plastic model.

"I won't let anyone stop this development!"

During the end of the war, as the fighting intensified, development of an interceptor craft, a trump card against the enemy's long-range bombers, was rushed through. The canard design was a proposition based on the highest level of technological development at the time. It was the realization of the 'Shinden', with its bizarre structure, including the 30mm guns mounted in a 4-way configuration on the nose.

The detail on the 18th trial fighter prototype is impressive right out of the box. Panel lines on the fuselage are crisp and the cockpit parts fit together with barely any sanding needed.

Leo B. ★★★★★

I've built a few 1/32 kits and this one is easily the most detailed out of the box. The cockpit and wheel well parts alone had me taking my time on assembly, and the panel lines are sharp without needing much cleanup.

Hannah S. ★★★★★

The box was way bigger than I expected for a 1/32 kit, and the sprues are crammed with detail — the canard fins and rear prop assembly are molded sharp with almost no flash. Panel lines on the fuselage are fine and consistent, which is a relief since this plane's shape is so unusual. Took me about a
